Many of our readers has been asking questions about the Nigeria Navy Training Allowance, that is how much is paid to Naval students who are on training. Because of that, we have compiled the list of the allowance paid to Nigerian Navy Trainees, Nigerian Navy Regular cadets and the Nigerian Navy DSSC Cadets.

Previously, the Nigerian Navy Trainees allowance was about 10,000 naira per month, but from 2024 it is said to have been increased to 15,000 naira per month. This is great news for those who want to join the navy, as it will help with their expenses while they are attending the training program.

For those who are not familiar with the program, it is a 6 month training program for Trainees, 6 months program for the DSSC Cadets and 5 Years Program for the Regular Cadets that is open to all Nigerian citizens who are interested in joining the navy. Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to serve in the Nigerian navy.

How Much Is the Nigerian Navy Training Allowance?

The Nigeria Navy allowance depends on their terms of training, Nigerian Navy Trainee Allowance is different from that of the DSSC and regular cadets. For Regular Cadets, their Training Allowance depends on the years of training. So for those who are just starting out at year one, get a lower allowance. But for those who have been in the Nigerian Defence Academy for a while, They get a higher allowance.

But do take note that this allowance is only for those who are currently undergoing training. Once you finish your training and are posted to a unit, the allowance will stop. Nigeria Navy Training Allowance

1. Trainee is paid about N12,000 – 15,000 per month.
2. Nigerian Navy Short Service Cadets are Paid about N17,000 to 20,000 monthly.
3. Nigerian Navy Regular Cadets who are on training in the Nigerian Defence Academy are paid about N25,000 – N30,000 Monthly.
