Poland bans Russians from entering its territory by sea and air

The move targets Russian government officials, business people and high-powered people.

The Republic of Poland has banned Russian nationals from entering its territory by land and sea, a week after the country closed its land borders to Russians.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania had also prevented Russian nationals from entering their territory through land borders.

The development began after the European Union reached an agreement last month to suspend its visa facilitation deal with Russia, a move that targets Russian government officials, business people and high-powered people.

Russians crossing these territories will be sent back to their original departure point, according to a report by Anadolu Agency.
