Six killed in battle for supremacy between ISWAP and Boko Haram

Six people were reportedly killed over the weekend during renewed fighting between Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram fighters in Borno State.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, disclosed that the incident took place in Gajibo, a town near Maiduguri.

According to him, ISWAP raided the Boko Haram camp in the city and killed six terrorists.

Daily Trust quoted Makama as saying that five AK47 rifles were also recovered from the Boko Haram camp.

The incident is the latest in a rivalry war and war for supremacy between the two Islamist terrorist groups in Nigeria.
