Wike appoints 28,000 assistants, 14,000 special advisers

Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the executive  governor of Rivers State has appointed 28,000 special assistants.

He made the appointment 24hrs after he appointed 14,000 special advisers and 319 ward liaison officers in the State.

Media aide the governor, Kelvin Ebiri, said the 28,000 Special Assistants is for political units.

He also appointed 40 Liaison Officers for local government areas.

Meanwhile, an American lawyer, Bruce Fein, sued Governor Wike at the International Criminal Court (ICC) for the massacre of hundreds of civilians in the year— 2020.

The lawyer hired by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) charged Wike and the Nigerian army of genocide, crimes against humanity, torture, rape, ethnically based persecution and others.

The ICC has not set a date for the hearing and judgment.
