Macron accuses Russia of working against France in Africa

President Emmanuel Macron has accused Russia of working against against his country France, saying Russia is apparently feeding anti-French propaganda in Africa to further “predatory” ambitions. 

The French president who spoke at a summit for French-speaking nations in Tunisia, the perception that France exploits economic and political colonial ties to serve its own interests is a propaganda fed by Russia or others. 

"This perception is fed by others, it's a political project.

"I'm no fool, many influencers, sometimes speaking on your programs, are paid by the Russians. A number of powers… are doing this to hurt France, hurt its language, sow doubts, but above all pursue certain interests,” Macron told TV5 Monde.
