The Apex-Igbo socio-political group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has opposed Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore's demand for grazing reserves in the southeast.

The group that described the demand as a sinister plot to seize ancestral land said there is no land for grazing reserves in the southeastern region.

Okechukwu Isiguzoro, secretary general of Ohanaeze, in a statement Tuesday said that Miyetti Allah's demand is a threat to national peace.

Isiguzoro also stated that the use of threats of violence to provide conditions for peace clearly shows that Fulani organizations are responsible for the crisis associated with farmers and herders clash in Nigeria.

There are no grazing routes or land for grazing reserves in the southeast, Ohanaeze said, adding that the ban on open grazing and moving cattle on foot remains in place in the southeast.
