The Nigeria Army Training Allowance has remained the same for some years now and recently in 2024, there is an update concerning the current rate of the training allowance for the Nigerian Army.
The Nigeria Army Training Allowance is the Allowance which is paid to the Nigerian Army Trainees who are still under training. This includes the Nigerian Army Recruits, the Nigerian Army Short Service Cadets and the Nigerian Army Regular Cadets. The Nigeria Army Training allowance 2024 is has been mentioned when we wrote about the Nigerian Army Salary 2024, Ranks and Allowances. But it was not explained in details. So in this post, we will breakdown the Nigerian Army Training Allowance in details.
Before we list out the training allowance for the Nigerian Army, there are few things you need to understand about the Trainees.
Nigerian Army Recruits
The Nigeria Army Recruits are those trainees who were accepted to the Recruitment using SSCE certificate and their training is for the period of six months. The training allowance paid to them is the least among all the Nigerian Army Trainees.
Nigerian Army Short Service Cadets
This set of trainees were accepted into the Nigerian Army using HND or BSC or Equivalent. this simply means that they joined the Nigerian Army as a Graduate. The Short Service has two different categories, The DSSC and SSC. The DSSC takes a period of 6 months while the SSC takes a period of 9 months. Nigerian Army Regular Cadets
Lastly is the Nigerian Army Regular Cadets. This set of trainees were also accepted into training with SSCE but there training is different from the recruits as they spend 5 years in the Nigerian Defence Academy doing both Academic and Military Training. They collect the highest training allowance in the Nigerian Army. Below is the complete list of the Nigeria Army Training Allowance 2024.
Nigeria Army Training Allowance 2024
- Recruits who are under training are paid about N10,000 – N12,500 monthly.
- Nigerian Army Short Service Cadets both DSSC and SSC are Paid a monthly training allowance of about N15,000 – N25,000.
- Nigerian Army Regular Cadets who are under training in the Nigerian Defence Academy are paid a monthly training allowance of about N25,000 – N30,000.
