The Nigeria Immigration Service has updated a new allowance for training purposes. This allowance is available to all Nigerian Immigration Trainees who are undergoing Training to become a Nigerian Immigration Staff.
The Nigerian Immigration Service is one of the Paramilitary agency in Nigeria with a well-organized salary structure. The salaries range from N50,000 per month to N1,060,000 a year, depending on rank and allowances. We have previously written about the Nigerian Immigrantion ranks and salary 2024. The salary structure in the Nigerian Immigration Service is almost the same thing with other Paramilitary organizations in Nigeria, including Customs, NSCDC, Police, and FRSC. The starting salary for a passport officer is around 50,000 Naira per month. In addition to salary, there are other Allowances which is mentioned in the Nigerian Immigrantion salary and Allowances 2024. Please note that the Allowances that is paid to NIS Officers is different from the one paid to those who are still on training. That’s why it’s called NIS Training Allowance. Also note that the Nigeria Immigration is the highest paid Paramilitary In Nigeria 2024.
In general, salaries for members of the Nigerian Immigration Service are well-deserved. The highest paying personnel in the service are Comptroller Generals, who earn as much as N30 million per year. The lowest ranking Immigration Officers earn not less than N50,000 Naira a month. The highest ranking immigration officers are Immigration Officers and Senior Immigration Officers. Before 1971, the position of Immigration Inspector was known as Chief Immigration Inspector.
NIS Training Allowance 2024.
Now talking about the NIS Training Allowance, There are several requirements that must be fulfilled before an applicant can receive the Nigerian Immigration training allowance. Firstly, You must be under training in the Nigeria Immigration, You must spend up to a month before any training allowance can be paid to you.
Nigeria Immigration Training Allowance 2024
The Nigeria Immigration Training Allowance is about N20,000 – N35,000 and it is paid on a monthly basis. Please note that you are entitled to this training allowance only when you are on training and the Nigerian Immigration will terminate the allowance immediately you graduate and become an immigration officer.
Please be aware that the amount paid to those who are graduates is always higher than those who have only SSCE certificate or NCE.
