The Nigerian Navy recruitment requirements
1. Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 18-22 years for those with O’level qualifications; and 24-26 years for those with higher qualifications such as OND, NCE, HND, and BSc.
2. Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a minimum of five credits including Mathematics and English Language at O’level.
3. Height: Male applicants should be at least 1.68 meters tall while female applicants should be at least 1.65 meters tall.
4. Physical Fitness: Applicants must undergo a medical fitness test which includes running 3.5km in 15 minutes and at least 20 push-ups and sit-ups within two minutes.
5. Nationality: Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
6. Character: Applicants must have no criminal record and must possess good character and be of sound mental health.
7. Requirements for tradesmen/women: Applicants for tradesmen/women must have a minimum of OND, NCE, or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.
8. Requirements for medical personnel: Applicants for medical personnel must possess recognized professional qualifications in nursing and medical laboratory science.
9. Requirements for lawyers: Applicants for lawyers must possess LLB and BL degrees, and must have been called to the Nigerian Bar.
