StarTimes has different subscription plans that is meant for everyone no matter your budget. The packages are divided into two main categories. The “Pay-as-you-go” plans and the “Pay TV” plans. Don’t worry as we will explain how the both works.
StarTimes Pay as you go Plans
The StarTimes pay as you go is plan that is meant for subscribers who wants to only pay for what they are watching. Let me explain more. To enjoy the pay as you go plan, you need to buy either a StarTimes Nova or Smart card. The Nova card price is about N900, while the Smart card is about N1,900. The both cards come with free access to over 30 channels, including NTA, Galaxia, TVC, and many more.
For you to buy or subscribe to your favorite and selected channels, You need to dial *477# from the phone number you used in registering the decoder and follow the prompt. The cost of the channels ranges from N25 to N400 per day, and from N1250 to N6400 per month. The prices depend on the quality of the channel and the number of channels in a particular bouquet.
Pay TV Plans
The pay TV plans is the plan most of us are used to. They are designed for subscribers who want to enjoy the full access to StarTimes. The plans provide access to over 80 channels, including sports, movies, news, music, cartoons, and others.
There are different types of Pay TV plans that StarTimes subscribers can choose from. The plans are divided into three main plans also referred to as bouquets. They are StarTimes Basic, Star Times Nova, and Star Times Smart.

Now there is this package that is not known by many people which is called the StarTimes Add-on Packages. So how does this packages work? Let me explain.
Apart from the Pay TV plans, StarTimes also gives add-on packages that subscribers can choose from. These add-on packages gives you access to specific channels that are not available on the Pay-TV plans.

How to Subscribe to StarTimes
Now that we have seen the StarTimes packages and channels, let’s now talk about how to subscribe to the bouquets. Subscribing to Star Times is simple and easy. To subscribe, follow the steps below.
1. You need to buy either a Nova or Smart Card from any StarTimes outlet or dealer.
2. Insert the card into your StarTimes decoder and turn on your television.
3. Dial *322# from your registered mobile phone and follow the prompts.
4. Choose the bouquet or add-on package that you want to subscribe to.
5. Make the payment using any of the available payment methods (mobile banking, bank transfer, or cash payment by visiting any of the dealer outlet).
6. After the payment is confirmed, the channels will be automatically activated on your decoder and you can enjoy the full access to those channels until the expiry date.
Please one thing you should always beware of is making mistake in your smart card number because once there is any mistake, you have subscribed to another user and will take sometime before it can be reversed.
