Requirements For NDA In Nigeria 2024. The Nigerian Defence Academy NDA is a military institution where military officers are trained. The military officers which consists of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force are all trained in the Nigerian Defence Academy NDA in both Academic and Military training. The graduates with BSC certificate or equivalent and are also promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Army, Pilot Officer in the AirForce and Midshipman in the Navy.

Requirements for NDA in Nigeria

Please note that the Nigerian Defence Academy NDA is a five year program for regular cadets, but for those who wish to join the Nigerian military as a graduate, it’s a 9 months training program because you are already a graduate. So NDA requirements is in two different forms, the one that is meant for regular cadets and the one that is meant for those who are joining as a graduate.

There, all the requirements are mentioned as we are only going to list the requirements for the NDA regular cadets. Now let’s look at the requirements for NDA in Nigeria.

Requirements For NDA In Nigeria

  1. Applicants must have a minimum of five credit passes at SSCE, That is WAEC, NECO or GCE or Any Equivalent Obtained from in not more than two sittings relevant to the faculty of their choices. Two of those five Credit must be English and Mathematics, Then at least one supporting relevant credits in addition to the credits in faculty of Military Science and interdisciplinary studies, faculty of arts and social science and faculty of Science. However, only one supporting relevant credit is needed in Faculty of Engineering.
  2. Applicants should be at least 17years of Age and not above 22 years old as at the time of registration.
  3. Candidates who wish to join the Nigerian AirForce must be between the Age of 17 and 18 at the Year of entry.
  4. Interested Applicants must not be less than 1.68meters tall in Male and 1.58 meters in Female.
  5. Interested Applicants must be physically and Medically fit and must be of a Good moral character.
  6. All Applicants must be single male and female without legal obligation to support child or any other individuals.
  7. All Candidates must provide their certificate of State of Origin obtained from the local government area of the applicant or a certificate of a State indigeneship obtained from the office of the State Governor.
  8. Interested Applicants awaiting results are not acceptable.
  9. Applications submitted without results will not be accepted.
  10. Only Results that are not more than 5 years old are to be accepted.
